In 2009, the monthly magazine Focus Magazine decided to tell the future in 12 stories, and asked me to find an efficient way to do it. We decided to conduct 12 interviews with the best opinion leaders we could find.
The first phase of the project required six months of preparation. I created a matrix of people I wanted to interview, without considering how difficult it would be to secure interviews. Then I started to look for them.
I completed the project in a year. In some cases, such as Henry Kissinger and Neil Armstrong, I wasn't able to arrange the interview. In other cases, such as with Noam Chomsky, Wole Soyinka, Orhan Pamuk, and Fernando Savater, I met them at their homes or offices. In still other cases, I obtained the interviews by meeting the individuals at events or conferences.
The magazine financed the entire project.
The result was a unique fresco of the future, seen from 12 different points of view.
